BMW Service - K bike cranks but won't start?
K bike cylinders lie flat (horizontal) and during long periods of storage the oil film in the cylinders goes away and leaves a dry, compression-less cylinder (s) and a K engine that will not start. Spark, fuel and compression. When one is missing it all goes to shit. Adding 10 cc of oil to each cylinder will create enough compression to allow the engine to start and oil to circulate, soon replacing the cylinders oil film that melted away during storage. The smoke from the added oil burns away quickly and K bikes are supposed to smoke anyway so go ride!
