Ilocos, Vigan Longanisa - Foreigners Find The Best Food Province In The Philippines

Todays vlog is all about finding the best food in the philippines and we think that may well be in ilocos province in vigan city.

We have heard rumours that ilocos and specifically vigan has incredible food and we did not really understand how that could be since each province usually has its own signature dish in the philippines. We have had great longanisa or so we thought it was in pangasinan province, but this did not even come to close to the taste of the ilocos longanisa from vigan city.

It turns out ilocos province is well known for its empanada and its incredible flavour of longanisa. We can safely say that the longanisa in vigan is by far the very best we have ever tasted in the philippines out of 30+ provinces we have been to. foreigners sometimes have the impression that the philippines doesnt have great food but i think the foreigners that say this have not travelled enough around the philippines to be able to say that.

Next up we headed to laoag were i got my first ilocano express which is also very popular in ilocos province, its a little spicey which is how i like my food and i really enjoyed it.

Its no surprise now to us why people say the food in ilocos is the best.
