At 11h last night a horrific crash left three people dead on the border of Oakville and Mississauga after two cars collided before bursting into flames. One person was declared dead at the scene for whom the body appears in the badly tangled car. Other victims were transported via land ambulances to various hospitals in the GTA. An air ambulance helicopter from Ornge was dispatched and landed at the CVH (Credit Valley Hospital) in preparation to transport one of the victim of the major accident. Multiple police cars from the HRPS (Halton Regional Police Service) were spotted escorting an ambulance with lights and sirens near the location of the helipad at the corner of Eglinton Ave and Credit Valley Rd in Mississauga. The tragic accident happened on Winston Churchill Blvd just north of the QEW interchange in Oakville, Ontario, Canada right on the border of the city of Mississauga which is drawn along Winston Churchill Blvd. As explained by an office of the HRPS, since the crash happened in the southbound lanes of Winston Churchill, it is considered to have happened in Oakville. Since the proximity of the crash to both cities, multiple emergency agencies from both Oakville in the Halton region and Mississauga in the Peel region attended the scene. Among them are PRP, (Peel Regional Police) HRPS, (Halton Regional Police Service) Mississauga Fire, Oakville Fire, Peel Paramedics and Halton Paramedics. On the site of the crash, a scene of horror is showing as boots from one of the victim of the crash peak through a tarp that was put on top of a barely recognizable car. Debris from the high velocity impact are scattered on the ground most of it in the southbound lanes. Numerous firetrucks and other emergency vehicles remained at the scene while collision investigation reconstruction officers started to investigate. Firetrucks had powerful light stands setup to help crews work at the scene. Police officers, paramedics and firemen were seen gathering in small groups for debriefing. Patrol cars parked at every extremity of the safety perimeter which extends from North Sheridan Way to the north to Benedet Dr to the south for the time being. No identification have been made possible yet but the three deceased are believed to be two youths under the age of 18 and an adult.

***Update 6-27-2017 - In a recent release from the PRP the victims have been identified as 40 year old Canville Roberts who was the driver and sole occupant of the badly damaged Mazda car and who was pronounced dead at the scene.
