#90 Thermal Camera Teardown, Investigation, Diagnostics and Repair Part 1

My teardown and identification of issues from the factory of this brand new unit, which worked for a short time after I got it, but then started to fail with a white screen after turning on.

My recommendation, is to NOT buy one of these units, as they have poor soldering from bodges when new, as you can see in this video.

I purchased this one from Aliexpress, from a seller called "Expectation", who hasn't been very helpful when I requested a refund, they counter offered, "with no return, no refund"... I don't think so.

FYI, the IC on the sub PCB is an AL442B, a FIFO video buffer , which I can actually purchase if I find that is the problem, they are here: http://nz.rs-online.com/web/p/fifo-memory-chips/7496657/

I will pull it apart again soon and try to narrow down the fault, I will need to buy some more freeze spray first though!
