Comparison of two phosphors
Two types of phosphors have been embedded in epoxy and placed in a 3D printed frame. One is made from zinc sulfide, and the other is made from strontium aluminate doped with europium (both are labeled). The phosphorescent lifetimes are different. The zinc sulfide phosphor is initially very bright, but fades very quickly while the strontium aluminate fades at a much slower rate (nominally 10 times slower).
