Proppant carrier BCM-125.1

Proppant carrier BCM-125.1 is a widely used model among oil servicing equipment manufactured by AO “Becema”. Its products are used by such big Russian companies like ROSNEFT, TATNEFT, SURGUTNEFTEGAS and by the Russian branch of the US Halliburton Corporation. This model is designed for carrying and supplying proppant to a blender tank as part of the equipment for hydraulic fracking of oil and gas layers.

The hopper is installed on a KAMAZ-6560 chassis with wheel base 8x8 and can be used in the conditions of bad roads which are typical of oil-field areas. The installation is intended for lasting and failure-free operation in self-contained mode with a standard set of hydraulic fracking equipment. It is allowed to carry no more than 12 t of proppant. Additional loading to full volume is carried out on production sites when front and rear outriggers are pulled out.

The hopper is made of high-strength steel. Its thickness is calculated on the basis of maximum proppant load with bulk density of 1.65 kg/m3. The hopper volume is 33m3. The tank is divided into 3 compartments. The capacity of a major compartment is 70%. The other two compartments divide the remaining 30% of the volume. Each compartment has a vertical mobile flap to ensure proppant unloading from any compartment at any time moment. Light indication helps to monitor flap condition.

On the bunker roof there are hatches for manual opening. A high safety level is ensured by convenient pads on the bunker roof and by folding guards 120 c high. A folding ladder is used for roof climbing.
Four reliable outriggers ensure safe operation under full loading.

• Powerful spotlight for lighting a blender hopper.

High strength of varnish-and-paint coating is ensured by preliminary bead-blasting treatment.
