ESL - Direct and Indirect Objects

Direct objects follow action verbs and they receive the action of the verb. Indirect objects instead, tell to or for who and to or for what the action of the verb is done. In this lesson, Mr. P. will explain direct and indirect objects using easy examples, and giving an exercise with its key at the end of the lesson. He will also explain what transitive and intransitive verbs are.
This lesson is designed for intermediate students who wish to improve their English grammar, and for those above levels who wish to clear up doubts about this topic.

Mr. P. is a Canadian English Teacher/Coach from Toronto, in Canada.
He has been an English Teacher since 1997, teaching adults and adolescents both in Toronto, and in Rome.

He is an Honorary Fellow in the English Language at UNITELMA La Sapienza University in Rome. In the past, he was also a Language Monitor at the University of Toronto. He has also taught English to many important politicians and celebrities in Italy. He is a certified English Teacher specialized in TEFL, TESL, TESOL (Arizona State University) & TOEFL. Since 2018, he has been attending Queen's University for a BA in History.
He has been teaching ESL at an international high school in Toronto, Canada since 2018.
