16:9 FPV goggles: Skyzone SKY02X vs Aomway Commander V1S (long term review & comparison)

The Commander V1S from Aomway and the SKY02X from Skyzone (the SKY02C version too) are two popular FPV goggles in the 16:9-aspect-ratio category.
Both have built-in diversity receiver and fan, DVR, A/V inputs and outputs, native 16:9 LCD displays (switchable to 4:3) and a wide operating voltage range. On paper these goggles seem to be very similar but in reality they differ a lot.
