I ask, as I touch gently upon this world, What do you need?

The wind wants song, wants poems to carry
It is structured to carry waves and you are structured to take them into your skull’s openings,
carry them into your being to a place beyond science,
a place whose architecture resonates as a temple that’s been refined over four billion years

The pews are full with your listening soul who wants a message more powerful than any man’s sermon,
wants to be taken back for just a moment to the place where it can rest easy

The wind was born to carry sounds for you
It formed around the sounds of your mother’s voice for you
It carried the voice that landed inside of you
Carried some great teacher’s words, a revelation of truth

The wind was in its function when it was touched by your first I love you and stored it in its feather pouch
Carried it to the ears that love was meant for

The ears are the only thing that could ever hear
And you have two

Let the wind feel its own aliveness
Let it vibrate with the sensation of your sounding
Your voices waves fit perfectly into your flesh formed spiraled ears that carry into you
Carry into me

Your sighs and moans are made to push oceans of air around you
Make foreign waters move

Mountains were built for you
Eyes are the only thing that could ever see them
And you have two

Dare to say you got everything you needed
Dare to pray
Dare to use the air as your messenger
Give it the hope it is asking for to free you from your finite opinions
Dare to ask for what you want

The air is structured to carry, as you are structured to ask and to listen
Open your ears from all the way inside of your skull
Hear the tingling electric hum in silence, its fullness

Dare to make your body strong
Your core, arms, face and lungs
Lock your eyes in focus like you’re pushing your vision out of them
Pray with all of your senses

Give the earth’s outline at the edge of your body something to hold
Give it movement, waves

Do nothing for the like of it from someone else

For someone else's mind can be made up a thousand times against you

But their body was made to hear, was made to taste, was made to touch,
To feel your love and move and shape the air around them as they make love back

The whole world waits to be moved by you
