$350 Bandit 1200 - I Took A Gamble And Lost - Update / 70,000 Mile Review - EP5

The long awaited super cheap Bandit 1200 update is here and it's not good news. After months of working to get a legal Missouri bonded title I must sell the bike which I go over. I really love this bike and it saddens me to have to let it go but it could have been worse.

Ultimately what happened was a lack of good information as I purchased the bike as it was illegally sold while still having an active lein on it which I was not made aware of until it was too late. The silver lining here comes in 3 parts here as I was able to revive another bike and enjoy it for a while, I was able to put the bike and its past owner back in contact, and I was able to get a crash course in possession legality and deeper processes for title/ownership issues. This entire situation could have been much worse if the involved parties were not as open to working with me.

All in all I did get to experience what a Bandit 1200 is like and I am beyond impressed for many reasons. Even though this machine has over 70,000 miles on it I would not hesitate to take it anywhere. The bike is very comfortable, has gobs of torque, sounds amazing, and looks great! The S model has the small front fairing which offered perfect wind protection to help on those longer rides. Compared to my 1st gen FZ1 this had zero shake at high speed and never felt out of control save for the rear end being loose under heavier braking. Oh yea wheelies are fun too! If I find another deal on one of these bikes in the future I will try to pick one up as I just know I will very much miss this thing.

Thank you for sticking with me through the Bandit series. I hope I was able to teach a it on reviving a non running bike, things to look out for, and a real impression on what riding one is like.
