Denzel Washington lights up the room when Asha Blake interviews him for Later Today on NBC

Academy Award winning actor Denzel Washington gave me an amazingly honest interview right after he was nominated for an Academy Award for The Hurricane (1999). In his sweatshirt, sweatpants and tennis shoes, he was funny, charming, and slightly devilish with some of his answers. Surprisingly, before the interivew, he mentioned he was a big fan of of an overnight show I did perviously ( World News Now). What! Denzel is watching! I really needed to up my game for sure I thought to myself. No more slouching on the set...no more eating during stories...this was going to take A LOT of work :) I ran into him a few times after this interview and he was just as charming.
