What you see above the water is only half the battle in Water Polo; tactics, skill, and lightning-quick reactions make it one of the most exciting team sports to watch, and the new outdoor Water Polo Arena will only add to the atmosphere. The physically demanding discipline will see more than 360 Water Polo competitors go head-to-head over 10 consecutive days beginning on 12 June 2015.

The competition will feature increased team numbers from the traditional Olympic programme with 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams competing. Teams, made up of athletes aged 17 and under, will be seeded into groups to contest the preliminary stages before moving on to the knockout and classification rounds.
