‘Not much hope’ for this year’s Budget

Liberal Senator Alex Antic explains why he doesn’t “hold too much hope” for this year’s federal Budget.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers will be handing down the Budget on Tuesday night.

Mr Antic pointed out Australians are seeing “extraordinarily bad numbers” coming out of the economy.

“It looks as though the RBA is priming itself for another interest rate rise,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“The red line indicators on how the economy is performing are terrifying, people are struggling, families are struggling, and this government does not have the answers.”
