Sending heaving line ashore | SHIPS MOORING OPERATION

The first thing that touches the pier of a port from a ship is the heaving line with a monkey fist attached on it. Some ferries or cruise ships uses a "line throwing apparatus" to send this line ashore but most cargo ships like the one on this video is that we only use ourselves to throw it manually. Skills and experience is the key.
