Audi S4 B8 V6 3.0 Supercharged Timing Engine Rebuild
When installing new head bolts and torquing them down on each torque sequence wait a while the longer the better atleast 30min minimum for the headgasket to sit and seal better
Head Bolt torque is 40nm or 30ft lbs then for 2nd sequence a 90 degree turn and for for 3rd and final sequence another 90 degree turn
At 8:40 is the oil pump gaskets, if you have low oil pressure its most likely these 2 o-ring gaskets, pretty easy to replace would recommend it to be safe just have to remove oil pan then unbolt triple square bolts that hold the oil pump then push back a hex shaped rod that turns the pump over and the oil pump will come right off
The torque specs for both the cam bolts on each head is 80 NM/60 ft lbs + 90 degree turn not 100 ft lbs The cam gears/ cam adjuster MUST be aligned like shown in video with the groove on the adjuster to the mark on the head and the exhaust cam dot with the mark on the head
torque spec for chain tensioner bolts are 9 nm or 6.64 ft lbs
torque spec for cam chain cover (8) 10mm bolts are 5 NM on the first stage then and additional 90 degrees on the second stage
Also for the guide frame for the camshaft cover the torque specs are first to install bolts all the way in by hand (the guide frame must touch the entire contact surface on the cylinder head) then 8 Nm and after that an additional 90 degree turn
Balance Shaft Belt Pulley side 60 NM
Balance Shaft Chain Sprocket 15 NM + 90 degree
Balance Shaft Transmission side 60 NM
Camshaft Adjuster for Intake Camshaft 80 NM + 90 degree
Camshaft Adjuster Solenoid Valve 5 NM
Camshaft Chain Sprocket for the Exhaust Camshaft 80 NM + 90 degrees
Chain Tensioner 9 NM
Chain Tensioner with Glide Track 10 NM + 45 degrees
Drive Chain Sprocket Bearing Plate 8 NM + 45 degrees
Drive Sprocket for Oil Pump 30 NM + 90 degrees
Gear Carrier 13 NM
Guide Rail 10 NM + 90 degrees
Left Camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner 9 NM
Pivot Pin for Drive Sprocket (left) 5 NM + 60 degrees
Pivot Pin for Drive Sprocket (right) 30 NM + 60 degrees
Right Camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner 9 NM
For the belly pan/guide frame bolts that you remove to take out crankshaft or to replace crankshaft bearings (not the one that comes out after the oil pan but the one after that, which holds the crank in place? the torque specs are 50 NM Then after that another 90 degree turn for the 16 bolts the are in the center next to the crankshaft bearings and the outer 14 bolts are 23 NM if you have any questions let me know
