Investing in Real estate or buying a house (property) is the first option we Indians prefer when we think of investing a large sum of money. This is because of the historical returns offered by real-estate in the last few decades and the notion that the prices of houses and properties always increase.
However, is it good to invest in real estate or the stock market (mutual funds) right now? Find out in this video.

I personally think real estate is a bad investment right now because it's too expensive. Besides, you also need a huge capital to invest it and there's no way you can diversify away from the risk.
The price to rent ratio or the price to earnings ratio of real-estate has gone up drastically in the last few decades because of multiple reasons discussed in the video. So when you buy a house and it's too expensive, it might give you profit but that'll not be satisfactory.
However, when it comes to investing in the stock market, mutual fund, or equity-related securities, you get to diversify your risk and you can also invest with SIP (systematic investment plan)
