Pope Francis visits young patients in hospital

(5 Jan 2018) Pope Francis visited young patients hospitalised at the Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù (Baby Jesus Paediatric Hospital) on Friday afternoon, as part of his Friday of Mercy initiatives.
The Pope wanted to personally meet the children just a few hours ahead of the Epiphany.
Pope Francis hugged children and relatives to encourage them during the hospitalisation.
The pediatric hospital, located near the Fiumicino airport and 30 km (18.5 mi) from Rome, is currently hosting 120 children.
