What Happened To Amanda Bynes...

Do you remember Amanda Bynes? Well, it seems she has almost disappeared now. We haven’t seen her on screen for over a decade now and most of us are curious about where she went. Well, in today's video, we will be discussing what happened to Amanda Bynes.

Before we dive into the intricate details, let us take a recap of who Bynes is and how her career began. Amanda Laura Bynes, the smallest of three siblings to Lynn, a medical technician and administrative coordinator, and Rick Bynes, a dentist, was born on April 3, 1986, in Thousand Oaks, California. At the age of seven, Bynes made her professional acting debut in a television commercial for Buncha Crunch sweets. She also starred on stage in adaptations of Annie, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, and The Secret Garden throughout her childhood. She went on to complete a comedy camp first at Los Angeles Laugh Factory, where she was discovered by a Nickelodeon executive and cast in various parts mostly on comedy series All That from 1996 to 2000. Bynes received a lot of attention as a result of the show, and she even earned a Kids' Choice Award in the year 2000. From 1999 through 2002, Bynes appeared later in The Amanda Show as a 13-year-old.

Almost immediately, she was an instant hit. In Big Fat Liar, where she played Kaylee, Bynes got her major film debut. From 2002 through 2006, she had a major role in the WB comedy What I like about You. Charlotte's Web 2 was a direct-to-video film in which she had a vocal part. She also had a commercially successful voice part as Piper Pinwheeler throughout the 2005 animated feature Robots. She also acted in the chick flick Love Wrecked in 2005. In 2006, Bynes was named one of the "25 Hottest Stars Under 25" by Teen People. This was obviously well deserved as we know and love Byne mostly from what her works up until that moment were. Of course, she did receive a number of notable projects afterwards too, but for most of us, her fondest memories are embedded in our deduced affiliations between her and some of our most favorite childhood characters.

Nevertheless, this was not an end to Byne’s illustrious career just yet. She's the Man, a sports comedy movie that focuses on William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, featured Bynes in 2006. In the dramedy picture Hairspray, Bynes played Penny Pingleton, a secluded young girl. It turned out to be Bynes' most successful picture until that time, and she and the whole of the ensemble received critical accolades for their work. Bynes collaborated with Steve & Barry's to launch her own fashion collection, dear, which consists of garments and accessories, in August 2007. When Steve & Barry declared bankruptcy in 2008, the brand declared its assets to be insolvent. Bynes' next film was Sydney White, which was released in 2007. Although Bynes' performance was praised, the film was a disaster. You can finally begin to see how things started going downhill for Byne from that particular point.

In 2008, Bynes starred as Harry Connick, Jr.'s student assistant throughout the Lifetime Television film Living Proof. She was supposed to appear in the sitcom Post Grad in 2009, but she backed out for no apparent reason. But by then, rumors were out that Byne was getting into trouble with a lot of the matters pertaining to her personal life. There were talks about potential alcoholism and drug abuse as well as a series of scarred relationships. But since things were too uncertain for anything to be said with confidence, there was a unanimous call to halt all such discussions as it was too early to make any claims. Byne had avoided commenting on anything until then and there was no direct reliable source that could have hinted even slightly as to what was going on with Byne and her career.

To extinguish the flame, Byne made a dashing reappearance in 2010. She starred alongside Emma Stone in Easy A. Interestingly enough, Byne was a bigger star than Stone at the time and when the film came out, more people were looking forward to seeing Byne make a comeback towards her acting career than to seeing Emma make her first feature film debut, despite Stone playing the lead character. Bynes began filming the comedy picture Hall Pass the same year, but pulled out and was substituted by Alexandra Daddario, who was also relatively unknown at the time. Subsequently, things started to get weird again and everyone started wondering what was going on again. The rumors were relit and there was a lot of guesswork as to where Byne had vanished. Finally, she stepped up to settle queries once and for all as she announced her acquittal from acting until further notice. This came as a shock to both her fans as well as her colleagues in Hollywood. Byne had little apparent reason to back off from her career as she was doing it all so well. In fact, the last two movies that she ended up forfeiting from turned out to be a huge commercial success each.
