For the wired installation, you need to determine whether your doorbell is mechanical or digital:

Here is a link to a video from Ring that will show you how to know which type of doorbell you have. If you have a digital doorbell, you also need to install the diode that comes with the Ring doorbell.

Charge the battery pack. It has 2 lights, when both are green it is fully charged.

TURN OFF THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO YOUR DOORBELL AT YOUR CIRCUIT BOX.

For the mechanical doorbell you will remove your doorbell from your front entrance by unscrewing the retaining screws.

You will see 2 wires attached to the doorbell. Unscrew both wires.

Attach the mounting bracket to your home with 4 screws. This package includes 3 mounting bracket options.

Attach the 2 wires to your new Ring Video Doorbell on the 2 screws that are on the back of the doorbell. It doesn't matter which wire goes to which screw.

Attach the Ring Doorbell to the mounting bracket with 4 screws.

Insert the battery pack into the doorbell housing.

Activate the doorbell by pressing the button on the right. You should now see a spinning white light that will indicate your doorbell is activated.

This Ring Doorbell comes with 2 cover plate options. Attach the cover plate.

Turn the circuit breaker for your doorbell back on.

Download the Ring Video Doorbell 2 App and follow the set up instructions.
