Man with a Stick: Camino del Norte - Documentary Film

"Man with a Stick" is a documentary feature film that challenges the notion of long-distance hike as a bizarre way of enjoyment and a sense of achievement. The title character is a thru-hiker who made a decision to decouple from his normal life, step out of his comfort zone and challenge himself walking the Camino del Norte in August and September 2018 across Northern Spain.

Over the course of his thru-hike he ruminates the simplicity of life while walking long-distance, both mental and physical challenges on the way, the reasons why we hike, patience, experience of pain and a strong connection to the trail. Hiking allows thinking and reflecting, experiencing solitude and freedom and enjoying the uplifting scenic beauty and wildlife.

Undoubtedly, hiking with a silent friend who guided him over many hills and mountains and gave him wings to soar made the end of the challenging walk more fulfilling.
