Lessons from the 2004 Democratic Convention: Obama's Speech| Retro Report

Sometimes the most important speech at a national political convention isn't the one delivered by the party's presidential nominee. In 2004, Barack Obama, then a relatively obscure state senator from Illinois, gave the keynote address at the Democratic convention in Boston. The speech transformed American politics and catapulted Obama to the White House four years later.
