Denzel Washington on CARRYING Julia Roberts Off Oscars Stage

Denzel Washington spoke with ET moments after winning an Oscar in 2002 for his performance in ‘Training Day.’ The actor joked about literally carrying Julia Roberts off the Academy Awards stage following his win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. Washington first took home the trophy for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for ‘Glory.’ Today, he boasts the record as the most-nominated Black actor in Oscars history. Washington’s nod for ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ this year makes 10 nominations over the course of his career.
