I would recommend buying the Roborock S4 for homes with not thick carpets and to those who don't need mopping. The robot performs well on hard floors and thin carpets but because of the reduced climbing ability, it can't handle medium and high-pile carpets. Other than that this is the best robot vacuum on the market for ~$400.

The Roborock S5 Max is the best value for those who want the best pickup ability on carpet and also a great performance on hard floors. Because of the big electronic water tank, the Roborock S5 Max can get rid of some stains outperforming other Roborock vacuums. The robot is ideal for big homes and with the latest update, it also supports up to 4 floor plans which makes it perfect for multi-level houses.
