WTH?!? Florida Trooper Tases Black Teen Because He Looked "Suspicious"

A Florida State Trooper followed and tased a teen he said looked "suspicious".

16-year-old Jack Rodeman was on his way to his girlfriend's house when Trooper George Smyrnios approached him in his patrol car.

Rodeman ran through bushes into his girlfriend's backyard.

That's when Trooper Smyrnios chased him and approached him with his taser drawn.

Trooper Smyrnios said, "His behavior, demeanor, and body language appeared to be a burglar. It looked to me like he had just committed a crime or was about to commit a crime."

Rodeman was arrested and charged with failing to obey a lawful order, resisting without violence, and possessing fewer than 20 grams of marijuana.

However, his mother says he was racially profiled and plans to sue the Florida Highway Patrol for excessive force.

Trooper Smyrnios is still on active duty while Florida Highway Patrol investigates the incident.

The legislation would have made it easier for people to vote by mandating 15 days of early voting and no-excuse absentee voting, allowing for same-day voter registration and unlimited ballot collection, enacting automatic registration for federal elections and lowering identification requirements.
