Dart XL 5200 Mah Lipo Long Range Test

The furthest I dared to go with my Gensace 3300 mah 4 S lipo was 10k so I decided to try the Turnigy High Capacity 5200mAh 4S 12C Lipo that weighs in at 467 grams.

This is 130 grams more weight and brings the total weight of the plane including GoPro Hero 6 to 1406 grams.

That said 467 grams is very light for a 5200 mah 4S lipo but I was still a little concerned especially when using iNav Autolaunch thinking at only 12C the plane would struggle to get airborne.

So here is an account of my experience and the entire flight narrated as we went along, final summing up and a look at the fight statistics.

Safe to say I was delighted with the results and feel confident to go for the 15K milestone and who knows maybe 20k or even more!
