Edith Holden watercolor bird painting tutorial & JJ pocket

We continue with our mini series on Edith Holden and this time I attempt to make a cute little chubby bird and encourage you to follow along even if you have never painted.

I've listed the tools I use below but you can certainly use what you have.

I give a little glimpse of how to use these mini water color paintings in my latest junk journal from my online class, French Bohemian Travelers Junk Journal. If you would like to see a full flip through of the journal let me know.

The paintings can be adhered to card stock and sealed with something like mod podge or mat gel medium, just make sure you dab the sealer and not brush it on so the paint dosen't smear. Once dry, cut around the painting, decorate it and sew it to make a little pocket for your junk journals.

Subscribe to my channel and click the bell to be notified whenever I load new content.

I post every Tuesday and sometimes more with tutorials, flip throughs of my junk journals and mixed media techniques.
