👉An impressive vertical jump is the ultimate standard of lower-body power and explosiveness—an attribute which is super important in high-impact sports like basketball, korfball, volleyball and soccer. If you increase your jump height, the chances are you’ll also be able to run faster, lift more weight, and maybe even throw down a dunk at your next game.🤾🏼♂️🚀
But if you think your standard gym training sessions are going to lift you to new heights, you’re mistaken. To jump like an elite athlete, you need to train like one, starting with the five exercises I’ll outline in this video.🎥🏆
👉 A great explosive workout you can do with minimal equipment, only a workout-mat and something you can use as a hurdle. These exercises will help you build explosion, power and speed. This will ultimately make you jump higher, run faster and become a better athlete. Perform this workout 3-4 times per week for maximum results.🦘🔝🐸
👉 Tips:
1. 💥If you really want it, then you gotta put the work in. Give 100% percent every single time.💪😅💦
2. 🔥Warm up properly. High jumping like dunking (or attempting to dunk) is a high-impact, highly intense activity that needs a sufficient warm-up. Just as you would for a lifting workout, start your warm-up with a few minutes of low-intensity cardio, then progress to more dynamic movements—dynamic stretching/mobility drills as well as jumping. This is very important for preventing injuries.🧎🏼♂️👨⚕️
3. 🆕 Beginning with jumping rope is often a great idea. Although it sounds so obvious or not that useful, if you are consistent with jumping rope, it is certainly going to help improve your leg muscles. When you are going to train with this, make sure that the floor is hard and that you are performing the exercise for about 15-20 minutes per day. 😅💦
