2009 Morven Park Horse Trials - Advanced XC - Part 1 of 2

Transplanted Australians Boyd Martin and Neville Bardos get things going at this little advanced horse trial on a most beautiful early autumn day. Hard to believe Neville Bardos was a racetrack reject when Martin bought him. Jan Byyny made a triumphant return with her horse Waterfront, Byyny was sidelined with a broken foot just two months earlier. And we saw a lot of newcomers and returning veterans to my favorite horse trial, with world class riders and horses, all practically in my backyard.

I spent a little too much time at the Leaf Pit, but for good reason. I guess I'm addicted to slo-mo too.

Keep and eye on some of these rider/horse teams - they will be at Rolex 2010.
