My mother Jackie Moggridge's voice starts and ends this charming Channel 4 Series "Forgotten Pilots" . (Trailer and three programmes). Jackie and the other Flying Pioneers appear throughout talking about their amazing adventures. Jackie being the youngest woman pilot to join in 1940 in WW2 she flew 82 types of warplane during her time in the ATA I hope you enjoy the amazing story of the Air Transport Auxiliary. Jackie never saw the programme as she died just one month after she was filmed but her memory and the memory of all those adventurous pilots lives on in programmes like this. Thank you Robert Toyne for directing a fabulous programme. Jackie (though she would never have told you) was awarded the Kings Commendation for valuable service in the air, The Queen's Coronation Medal, She gained her RAF full wings in 1953 and the BWPA awarded her The Jean Lennox Bird Trophy for furthering the cause of women in aviation by becoming the First British Woman Airline Captain. I hope you enjoy this amazing piece of WW2 history from the men and women of the ATA. Thank you for watching from her daughters Candy and Veronica
