In this special Challenge episode of Sound 101, it's Andrew vs Steve: who can record a piano with just lavalier microphones better?! We head to UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television to try our hands at the impossible, how to record music using audio hacks and lavalier microphones.

We learned a lot about resonance, alternative methods of using lavalier microphones, stereo A-B pairs, PZM microphones and DIY contact mics. And much more! We also learn that Andrew can't count lavaliers. Using some creative techniques you can mic up just about any instrument with almost any microphone, so get creative!
