Ponència basada en la innovació social dins l’era actual, la digital; emfatitzant a la vegada, que la innovació tecnològica també ha d’estar acompanyada d’innovació social.

“La tecnologia és del s. XXI, però la societat, la política, l’economia... Són del segle XX o del XIX. Hem d’aprendre a innovar i a innovar-nos”. My name is Artur Serra i Hurtado (Alacant, 1954). I'm Deputy Director of the i2cat Foundation (www.i2cat.net) and Research Director of Citilab in Catalonia,Spain (www.citilab.eu). My two research goals are: high tech as a post-scientist epistemology and the technoanthropology as social high tech.

I got the Ph.D. In Cultural Anthropology in the Universitat de Barcelona in 1992, after completing a three years fieldwork at Carnegie Mellon University, doing an ethnographic fieldwork about the “Design Culture” of this American university, specially its School of Computer Science.

Back in Barcelona, I was willing to organize a high tech research center like I saw at CMU. In 1995 I was founding member of the ISOC_CAT, Catalan Chapter of ISOC and the Center for Internet Applications at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in november 1997 with Prof. Manel Medina.
At the same time I was interested in social high tech. In 2003, I've organized with Vicens Badenes the first Global Congress on Community Networking in Barcelona. After this experience, we both decided to launch the Citilab project, a first European citizen laboratory.

In i2cat, I've promote the area of convergence media, Internet and people. In 2006, I started the Anella Cultural project, Cultural Ring. Then It inspired the Anilla Cultural in Latinamerica and finally the Creative Ring network in Europe. http://www.creativering.eu/

In 2006 I've participated at the launching event of European Network of Living Labs in Helsinki, where I play the role of Vicepresident of strategy, based in collaboraries

Since 2016, I'm working with the Catalan gov. and a group of living labs in building Catlabs, a prototype of collaboratory or universal innovation system at the regional level.
