SteelSeries mouse scroll issue [I refunded the mouse after 4 months]

Why does my SteelSeries Rival 5 mouse exhibit erratic scrolling behavior? Please refer to the attached video, where both mice are connected.

The problem is that when I scroll up or down and reach the end of a list, a "phantom" scrolling occurs.

I own two Rival 5 mice - one for personal use with my desktop and the other for work with my laptop, both running on Windows 10. Both mice exhibit the same issue. The GG software and mouse firmware are up to date. I purchased them a few months ago, so there shouldn't be any dust-related issues.
Is there a way to disable this erratic scrolling?
