Iran's supreme leader has called US President Donald Trump "a clown" who only pretends to support the Iranian people and will "push a poisonous dagger" into their backs.

The Pentagon has confirmed 11 troops were flown to US hospitals in Germany and Kuwait with concussion-like symptoms in the days after Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles targeting US troops in Iraq.
