Jacob's Ladder - Monsters of the Week

Let's take a look at one of Silent Hill's major influences: Jacob's Ladder (1990). A psychological horror movie by Adrian Lyne, written by Bruce Joel Rubin and starring Tim Robbins and Elizabeth Peña.
It's a deeply ambiguous film with many cultural and mythological references, so in this episode of Monsters of the Week, I will unravel some of the mindbending plot devices and try to interpret and analyze the meaning of the whole conundrum about Jacob Singer's passage to the afterlife.
