Gaza's oldest church struck by Israeli airstrike

An Israeli air strike struck Gaza's oldest church as it sheltered hundreds of Palestinians, according to religious leaders.

Israel's military said it had targeted a Hamas command post late on Thursday, causing damage to the wall of the Greek Orthodox Church of St Porphyrius.

There were conflicting early reports of casualties, with Palestinian officials saying several people were killed. The Israeli military said it was reviewing the strike.
