In this video I will show you how you can make a setting for a rough or oddly shaped stone. You can use this type of setting for bigger stones, and once you've gotten the hang of it you can use it for smaller stones as well. This way you can create a set of earrings or a nice pendant for a necklace. I am setting a geode in this tutorial with 14 karats gold. In this tutorial I will not only show you how you can prong set or claw set a stone, but I'll show you how you can thin out your wire by using a drawing plate and how to solder as well.
