How to improve your website | 5 tips for interior design websites
Did you know that most people spend around 5 seconds on your website deciding whether they will stick around or click out of it? You don’t have long to attract a potential client further in to your website or get them to start taking action with you.
And when I am looking at design websites as part of my work with students in my online courses I notice a number of mistakes that designers make with their websites that make it really hard for potential clients to do business with them.
And the core one of these is that they make their websites far too much about them and nowhere near enough about their visitor.
So in today’s video I am going to share 5 ways to improve your website and make it an asset that will drive more clients and projects to your business – rather than just be a portfolio of project images that is all about how good you and your business are but not something that is focused on the needs of your potential clients.

If we haven't met, I'm Clare! 👋🏻
😄 I’m a designer, educator and Mum of 3 boys.
🤓 I have a PhD in business but left the corporate world nearly 10 years ago to pursue my dreams of starting my own interior design business.
👩🏻🎓 I worked as a designer with clients 1:1 for about 6 years but started to get more and more questions about how I was running my business and creating my designs.
🚀 So I started creating online courses that would allow me to support other designers and architects who wanted to start, grow and scale their own interior profitable businesses.
🤑 And in 10 years I've gone from working for free for a few friends to creating a multi-million dollar a year business that now makes money while I sleep.
🏃♂️ I'm also a very normal (busy) Mum :) - if I can do it you can do it too!
☕️ I have taken a long and winding road to get to where I am today - my aim is to share helpful stuff so you can get there faster than I did!
Great to have you! 😀
