Is Diesel Faster Than Petrol?

The common misconception: Petrol is faster, yet diesel has more torque!
It almost doesn't make sense! So we decided to test it, with my GTI vs Nathan's TDI.
Both are mk4 golfs, and both around the same BHP...
Let the testing begin!
(Both cars are stock, the GTI has a decat downpipe but on a stock map, it maybe adds 3 or 4 more BHP...)
