Genesis (Sherrod Willis) tells of his coming out story as a new member of the LGBT community. Although his mother Lisa (Angie Felton) support him in all of his endeavors she worries about him making the right decisions in this new lifestyle. Meanwhile, his best friend Ryan (Ryan Kennedy) manages to keep his life on track after the return of his brother Kurt (Orandy Washington) returns from Jail. First timers follows the lives of a few different guys who cope with the lifestyle in different ways.
