Hogfish Bar & Grill Key West (Walking from Boyd's Campground)

Hogfish Bar and Grill on Stock Island (adjoining and just East of Key West) is a semi-short walk (was about 15 minutes each way) from Boyds Campground.

We walked from Boyd's to Hogfish just prior to darkness, but KJ clearly noted that coming back may be a bit more interesting. It was, but we had no conflicts, and basically everyone kept to themselves. There was plenty of loud music, mostly playing hispanic or latino music... which btw we kinda enjoyed!. Most of the partying was kept within their trailer slash patios, some however were out in the streets hovering around their cars. KJ being 6-4 and NFL linebacker size may have had something to do with just quick looks and no comments, not sure but I'd say the neighborhood wasn't as bad as we had heard prior.

Would we suggest the walk from Boyd's to Hogfish? I think this may be best answered by your stature and situation. Some would say that bringing some 'hardware' along with you as your security is the answer. I can't say what your situation is or will be, but just be smart!

So, would we walk from Boyds Campground to Hogfish Grill again? Simple answer is Yes... that is if we are going to be drinking. We actually like the exercise and especially after eating a big meal. Checkout the Video, hope it may help some folks visiting Hogfish, either by foot or wheels.
