Whats up Cubers and Cubets?! Hope you are enjoying the Closed Beta and my Playthrough! I compiled a list of 10 Early Game Tips and Tricks to get you ahead of your friends… Especially for those of you that will be jumping into the game for the first time.

Here is my Outline:

Talk to EVERY NPC
Npcs give you quests, and quests are responsible for 80% of the progression through the game. They also give hints for where to find special items like hang gliders and boats. As well as tell you where to find special quest bosses.
Find a Town or Village
This hub has lots of NPCs to get quests from
Towns look like small black dots on the map
While in a Town, ZOOM in that mini map to see where each shops is
You can find shops like armoury, weaponry, the identifier, and the flight master
Doing Quests upgrades what merchants Sell!
You can also find crafting stations for making Weapons and Armour for Every Class! You should pick up materials as you play for Crafting
At Towns You can Switch Your Class Specialization at the Guild Receptionist
You can swap between the two specializations in your class
For example swap between fire mage and water mage or Ninja and Assassin

Get Better Equipment (Armour and Weapons) Early
As you start to fight enemies, you will find it hard without decent gear.
YOU NEED BETTER EQUIPMENT to fight Bosses and Progress through quests
You can Sell the gear you pick up that is NOT your class from killing enemies at the towns, and buy new equipment that is for your class
Note: some armor is biome specific (unless it has a “+” next to its name) So you will often have to get new gear in each new biome
Also you can Find great rare gear in Leftovers
Take your Leftovers to the IDENTIFIER in Towns indicated by a magnifying glass
You can pay to identify what item is inside the leftover you can get some AMAZING gear from these
The Color of the Leftovers indicate the rarity of the item
Rarity of Items, Enemies, and Quests Goes from white - green - blue - purple - yellow
So Early in the game, you should stick to fighting white or green enemies until you get some better loot
unless you are with some friends you could probably take out some Blues
Talk to the Flight Master in Towns to Fast Travel
If you find the npc named flight master with the giant eagle next to them you can pay to fast travel around the map, but early in the game this is a bit expensive
But in multiplayer you can Fast Travel for FREE to your friends!
Activate EVERY SHRINE YOU SEE
Shrines are spawn points
If you see ANY, walk up and activate by pressing E and playing the flute so you can spawn closer and run less back to where you die
You CAN STILL Level Up in the game
You need to defeat quest Bosses and find artifacts
You can use these artifacts to level yourself up!
This will definitely slow the leveling compared to the alpha and expand on the late game and rpg elements rather than grindy elements
Tame and Ride Pets
To get a pet you must tame them by finding specific pet food and feeding them the food they Like
Once Tamed like the alpha you can fight along side your pet, Press T to call them
A new special item you can find from your travels, or be told where to find from NPCs are Reins.
Find this item And you can Ride Pets that you have tamed for speedy travels

BONUS TRICK:

Look out for dis-colored ground! You can drop a bomb to blow a hole open and find Buried Treasure
