Hey, guys, please take a virtual tour with me in metro system in Changsha.

Changsha's current metro network was first approved by the Chinese State Council in February 2009.

Changsha has three metro lines in operation, and three lines under construction.

Changsha Metro Line 2, the first and a core line of east-west rail transit in Changsha, was open to traffic in December 2013. It runs through 3 passenger hubs of the city (West Station of Changsha, Changsha Railway Station and Changsha South Railway Station) and 4 passenger flow collector-distributor centers (Yinwanzhen, Wuyi Square, Furong Square and Yuanjialing).

The underground line stretches as long as 22.262 kilometers, consisting of 19 stations, among which 6 are transfer stations. The westward extension extends from Wangchengpo Station to Meixi Lake area, which adds the total distance of Metro Line 2 to 26.579 km. As of May 2019, the Line 3, 5, and 6 are under construction.

Changsha metro adopts the "one passenger one ticket" policy. It adopts a mileage fragmentation valuation system, with the starting fare being priced at 2 yuan for a 6-kilometre ride.

For distances over 6 kilometres, a mileage cost that progressively increases in units of 1 yuan is added to the starting price. For distances between 6-16 kilometres, 1 yuan is added per 5 kilometres. For distances between 16-30 kilometres, 1 yuan is increased per 7 kilometres. For distances over 30 kilometres, 1 yuan is added per 9 kilometres.

The metro card types include single-ride ticket, pre-paid metro card, student metro card, and senior citizen metro card.

The card can be bought at the customer service center at the stations of rail transit in Changsha City for a price of 100 yuan (including 17 yuan deposit and 83 yuan for riding).

The card can be recharged on ticket vending machine and at customer service center at the stations of rail transit in Changsha City. The amount of recharge should be integral multiples of 50 yuan, with the total value in the card less than 500 yuan.

Anyway, most equipment of Changsha metro system are brand new.
