Net Zero Homes: How to take high performance to zero energy

Perry Brooks, from Net Zero Development takes us through his newest project on Albany Street in Bend. This house is a Net Zero, 2,000 square foot, single family home with a 600 square foot detached accessory dwelling unit (ADU) built above a double car garage. The home and ADU are being built to Net Zero standards, meaning the house will produce more energy than it consumes. This method of building provides improved indoor air quality, quieter living spaces and an overall healthier living environment while saving the owner money in utility bills.
