With the federal government burning through trillions, we're now headed toward a 40 trillion national debt.

To put it into perspective a 40 trillion dollars national debt would be equivalent to each American owing 121 thousand dollars, or almost 13 times the GDP of the United Kingdom. And this figure doesn't even account for unfunded obligations...
