Taking action for climate change, by surfing | Merijn Tinga | TEDxUtrecht
‘Plastic Soup Surfer’ Merijn takes ‘taking action for climate change’ quite literally. His creative, innovative and adventurous endeavours attract loads of attention and more importantly - they address those in the position to make change happen. Politicians, business leaders, school children … . Merijn makes sure his audience is engaged in the way they themselves can make a lasting impact on the environment. His different actions have supported concrete change in the Netherlands, from a tax deposit on small plastic bottles to awareness on the unnecessary costs schools make to have their trash recycled. His talk at TEDxUtrecht Countdown will focus on this last topic. ‘Plastic Soup Surfer’ Merijn takes ‘taking action for climate change’ quite literally.
