The highest skyscrapers in People's Republic of China:

10. Two International Finance Centre
Designed by Argentine-American César Pelli, the same guy who designed Petronas Twin Towers, located in Hong Kong island with floor counts of 88 above ground.

9. Jin Mao Tower
Constructed and opened in 90s, it is prominent symbol of China early stage of open door policy right before its acceleration in year 2000. With height of 420.5 meter (1,380 feet), it used to be 4rd tallest building after Petronas Towers and Willis(Sears) Tower.

8. Guangzhou International Finance Centre
AKA Guangzhou West Tower, a complementary of East Tower, its younger but higher sibling facing Pearl River and Canton Tower. Used to be in 10 world's highest buildings, but thanks to China booming, the rank drops fast, and by end of 2017 this tower will be out from this list too.

7. KK100
Formerly known as Kinkey 100 and Kinkey Finance Tower, It used to be Shenzhen tallest building before overtaken by Ping An IFC. Completed and inaugurated in September 2011 by Kinkey Group that also owned 785 million USD worth of office building. Used primarily for hotel and office with highest floor of 100.

6. Zifeng Tower
Despite being second tier China city, Nanjing soars itself with Zifeng Tower, 13th tallest building in the world at 450 meters high that constructed during China 2000s economic booming decade. However, a mixed-use building has lowest percentage occupiable space from its height portion, about 84.6%, with floor counts only 66 relative to other buildings with similar heights with floor counts more than 80s.

5. International Commerce Centre
Hong Kong as city with the most skyscrapers in the world should have a representative in this list. Located in West Kowloon, International Commerce Centre (ICC) is a 108-storey building with porpose of hotels and office spaces. It also provides an observation deck on 100th floor.

4. Shanghai World Financial Center
One of three prominent skyscraper in prime location of Shanghai: Lujiazui. This megatall was Shanghai most prominent skyscraper since 2008 before overtaken by Shanghai Tower that opened in 2015. Do you know that a hole on top floors of original design was a round shape but rejected by Chinese due to resemblance of Japanese flag? Hence the rectangle shape a final design.

3. Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre
Guangzhou being a world-class warehouse city for made-in-China goods city has booming at unprecedented rate in the past 10 years. Along with Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre, Guangzhou also home to seven supertalls (building with height taller than 300 meters).

2. Ping An International Finance Centre
This is a office skyscraper with retail space on its foot, a typical building design as city landmark which initiated by Petronas Towers, the world's tallest twin towers. Ping An completed construction in 2016 and scheduled for commission in 2017. Together with Kingkey 100 and China Resources Headquarters, they become a symbol of Guangdong rapid progress and prosperity.

1. Shanghai Tower
The highest twisted tower in the world, at 632 meters (2,073 ft). The shape of the building basically a building with footprint of triangle with rounded corners that twisted as height increases.
The building costs 2.4 billion USD that took 6 years to construct (2008-2014), and officially opened in February 2015.
