Conan the barbarian is a 1982 Fantasy movie, directed by John Milius and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Earl Jones, and Sandahl Bergman.
The sole survivor of his tribe Conan goes through a hard journey to become a formidable brawny gladiator, a thief, and a mercenary. His path will eventually lead him to exact revenge on Thulsa Doom the evil wizard who killed his parents.
The film is inspired by the literary work of Robert Ervin Howard that was published in the American pulp magazine “Weird tales” between 1932 and 1936.
The script is credited to both Oliver Stone and John Milius.
The movie’s music soundtrack is composed by Basil Poledouris.
At the time of its release, the film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.
However, it became a commercial success and helped launch Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie career.
