How can you tell when Bulk Fermentation is done? This detailed video compares four loaves with different bulk fermentation times with tips for beginners and intermediate sourdough bakers.
In this video we bake four loaves of bread with longer bulk fermentation times to assess the impact on crumb of 30-minute extensions to bulk fermentation time, from underproofing to overproofing. The video follows Chad Robertson's Tartine Bread Country loaf recipe and demonstrates all of the techniques used for determining when bulk fermentation is done.
