#6799 Blooming Stipe Alternative Not Typical Acrylic Pouring 2.08.20 intuitive art

I am using a 12 " x 16"x 2" stretched canvas. This process is not typical of acrylic methods. Begining with an A -typical amount( beyond overly abundant) of applied semi-gloss latex house paint as a base or Pillow to the center of the canvas. The colors added to the surface of the "pillow" also have very different ingredients. Colors used, to begin with, are added /mixed with Minwax Polycrylic (1/4) , and then un-tinted semi-gloss latex house paint DEEP base ( 3/4 )is added and mixed thoroughly. The colors are applied to the house paint sparingly ( often layered right on top of each other). There is no pouring medium in the colors and they can be whatever you want them to be added to the Polycrylic. The last mixture is the Catalyst cell activator consisting of just Floetrol and .25% color...any color. Only a small amount is laid over the other colors. The colors are agitated by swiping from the cell activator or the artist blows down into the colors and waits to see if cells emerge. More blowing down into the paint spreads the patterns and the colors emerge and meld amazingly. The canvas and the whole heavy mass of paint is then tilted to enlarge and spread out the cells in beautiful lacy patterns when things go well. I am saving the paint tilted off for a future "pillow" hoping I can use it at some future time. I use a propane torch extremely quickly and cautiously and in a well-ventilated space. It is passed over the surface of the paint to encourage patterns to emerge because the paint in combination with the Floetrol used in my cell activator encourages cells to form. To create the pearlescent effects seen in most of my artworks, Warming the paint will also often encourage patterns to emerge because the paint in combination with the Floetrol used in cell activator to form.
