Not too long ago i asked a cast member of a Mike Tyson documentary from the early 80's what she recalled of Mike & Cus.
"As a fighter, Mike was fast. He was riddled with fear, which made him a perceptive and quick fighter. He was very sensitive. And he knew a huge amount about the history of boxing. He could also be arrogant and full of himself. But my experience with him was entirely positive.
Cus was a great trainer and knew all the greats. He helped many fighters, not just the ones he trained. He was a philosopher. His favorite book was Zen and the Art of Archery. He didn't trust people who didn't work for themselves. Integrity was everything to him. He was very kind to me. He often made coffee for me after dinner and we would sit and talk."
